Lo-Fi Jigsaw

Privacy Policy

Effective date: May 8, 2026  ·  Last updated: May 8, 2026

01

Overview

Lo-Fi Jigsaw is a puzzle game designed for calm, focused moments. We built it with a simple conviction: a game like this shouldn't ask anything of you beyond your time. We do not require an account. We do not collect your name, email, or any personal identifier. We do not sell your data.

This policy describes what limited information is processed when you play, so you can make an informed decision about using the app.

The short version: your game progress lives on your device. We collect anonymous usage events via Firebase Analytics and your purchase entitlements are managed by RevenueCat. Neither service links your data to your identity.

02

Information We Collect

We collect only what is necessary to operate the game. We do not collect sensitive personal information of any kind.

What we do not collect

  • Your name, email address, or any account credentials
  • Your location or IP address (beyond what Firebase may log at network level)
  • Camera, microphone, contacts, or calendar data
  • Health data or biometric information
  • Push notification tokens (no notifications are sent)

What is processed

Data Purpose Where it goes
Game progress & settings Save your puzzle state between sessions Your device only (AsyncStorage)
Anonymous gameplay events Understand how features are used Firebase Analytics (Google)
Purchase entitlements Unlock paid mood packs RevenueCat (per installation ID)

03

Local Storage

Your game data is stored exclusively on your device using AsyncStorage. This includes:

Game progress

  • Which puzzles you have completed and on which difficulty
  • Your best times and move counts per scene and difficulty
  • Your current puzzle state, so you can resume mid-game
  • Whether you have completed your first puzzle (used to unlock mood browsing)

Settings

  • Music toggle preference
  • Sound effects toggle preference
  • Haptic feedback toggle preference

None of this data is transmitted to us or any third party. It is removed entirely when you uninstall the app. Progress does not sync across devices.

04

Analytics

We use Firebase Analytics (provided by Google LLC) to collect anonymous, aggregated information about how the app is used. This helps us understand which features work well and what to improve.

Events we track

Event Data attached
scene_started Scene identifier, difficulty level
scene_completed Scene identifier, difficulty, time taken, move count
purchase_sheet_opened Mood pack identifier
purchase_completed Mood pack identifier, product identifier
purchase_failed Mood pack identifier, error type (cancelled / unknown)
restore_purchases_tapped None
featured_mood_viewed Mood identifier

No event contains your name, device ID, or any personally identifiable information. Firebase may associate events with an anonymous installation ID generated by the SDK.

Google's privacy practices for Firebase Analytics are described at policies.google.com/privacy.

05

In-App Purchases

Paid mood packs are sold through Google Play. Payment processing is handled entirely by the respective platform — we never receive your payment details.

Purchase entitlements (i.e., which packs you own) are managed by RevenueCat. RevenueCat assigns an anonymous customer identifier to your installation to track your purchases across sessions and to allow purchase restoration. This identifier is not linked to your name, email, or Google account.

If you reinstall the app, you can restore your purchases using the in-app restore button. RevenueCat's privacy policy is available at revenuecat.com/privacy.

There are no subscriptions. All purchases are one-time payments.

06

Third-Party Services

The app integrates the following external services:

Service Provider Purpose
Firebase Analytics Google LLC Anonymous usage analytics
RevenueCat RevenueCat, Inc. In-app purchase entitlements
Google Play Google Payment processing & app distribution

We do not integrate advertising networks, social media SDKs, or any tracking or attribution services beyond those listed above.

07

Children's Privacy

Lo-Fi Jigsaw is a general-audience application not specifically directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because we collect no personal information from any user, there is no special risk to younger players beyond the general analytics described in this policy.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information, please contact us at the address below and we will promptly address the concern.

08

Your Rights

Because we collect no personal information tied to your identity, most traditional data-subject rights (access, rectification, portability) do not directly apply. However:

  • Local data: you can delete all stored game data by uninstalling the app.
  • Analytics: Firebase Analytics respects the device-level advertising-ID opt-out on both Android (Opt out of Ads Personalization). Disabling this will prevent Firebase from associating events with an installation ID.
  • Purchase records: contact RevenueCat directly at their privacy address for entitlement-related data requests.

If you are a resident of the European Economic Area or California and have specific requests under GDPR or CCPA, contact us and we will respond within the applicable legal timeframe.

09

Changes to This Policy

If we update this policy in a meaningful way — for example, by adding a new data collection practice — we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you via an in-app notice.

Continued use of the app after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
